About Our Center

The Eastern Upper Peninsula Community Dispute Resolution Center (CDRC) is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization formed in 1993. The center provides mediation and conflict resolution services to the citizens of Chippewa, Luce and Mackinac Counties. We are a United Way Agency.

The EUP CDRC is one of 20 centers in Michigan funded in part by the State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) of the Michigan Supreme Court. SCAO funds centers to ensure the availability of low-cost mediation throughout the entire geographical area of the State of Michigan. SCAO administers the Community Dispute Resolution Program (CDRP) created in 1988 by the Michigan Legislature.

Local volunteers who successfully complete a 40-hour training program approved by SCAO provide the mediation services for these centers. Most centers, including the EUP CDRC, offer this training at least once annually.

Services include mediation, facilitation of meetings, and conflict resolution workshops. Click Here for fee schedule. Individual circumstances may warrant a reduction or waiver of fees. Please contact the center for more information.
